About the game
Based on the Way of the Tiger gamebooks, this beat 'em up casts you as Avenger, a ninja raised by monks on the Island of Tranquil Dreams. You must pass three trials of combat to earn your place. The first is unarmed combat, the second is pole fighting on a log above water, and the third is a samurai sword duel. The trials play out against multi-layered scrolling backgrounds, and Avenger has a wide range of moves controlled with the joystick.
